Take advantage of Home Buyers Tax Credit, Time is Running Out

If you are one of the many considering buying a home and would want to take advantage of the $8,000 tax credit, then don’t wait too long for you could run out of time. The April 60,2010 deadline may pass and you might miss the Home buyer tax credit.

If you will wait until April 15 to find the home that you want to purchase and go under the contract, if there would be home inspection issues, seller issues or financing issues that may come up after the contract which could not be resolved and so the contract is canceled, you may not have enough time to get another home and again go under contract within the April 30 deadline.

Whenever you go under contracts for purchasing home, not all the deals happen either because of home inspection issues, seller issues, financing issues or other unexpected causing the contract to be canceled. When your deal is canceled shortly after or before the deadline of April 30 to be under the contract for you to qualify, you could be late and out of luck. Remember that for you to qualify for the tax credit, you need to be under contract by the 30th of April, this year and close by 30th also of June this same year.
